You can edit this any time after you save the settings by clicking Edit Hosts on the DUC v4.x.Īfter you have selected your hostname(s) and saved your settings, you should see three green check marks. The hostname(s) you selected will be updated with the public IP address of the network that the DUC is currently installed on. An update client is a device with DDNS settings configured and enabled. If you have multiple update clients updating the same hostname the service will not work properly. If on the other hand your windows PC is off for a long time with only your RPi running or you simply only run your RPi with no PC/Mac then you will need to install the DUC via Linux on your RPi. If you have a windows PC left on all the time with the DUC on it then you do not need to do it as your PC will automatically update your IP.
